Tom Yum Goong
This is perhaps Thailand’s best known dish. Indeed, tom yum is characterized by its distinct hot and sour flavors, with fragrant spices and herbs generously used in the broth. A light broth seasoned with exotic herbs, lemon grass, kaffir lime, tomatoes, mushrooms, chili and lime.
Tom Kha Gai
Similar to Tom Yam, this soup, however, the use of coconut milk in the broth makes this soup just a little heartier and rich. In Thailand, Tom Kha Gai (ต้มข่าไก่) is eaten more like a curry instead of a soup, paired with a plate of rice and spooned onto your rice before eating it.
